Nicole Leichum is an Advocacy and Events consultant in the Cities Unit, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Her role is to support ongoing programmes and projects of the Cities Unit, in particular the advocacy activities of the UrbanShift Programme, aiming to promote the importance of cities in the achievement of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) and to raise awareness of the programme at the global and regional level.
Nicole previously worked in the Governance Affairs Office, UNEP, as a Program Assistant, where she supported the planning and delivery of intergovernmental meetings such as UNEA-6 and the Committee of Permanent Representative (CPR) meetings. Prior to her roles within UNEP, Nicole worked at UN-Habitat and the Government of Kenya.
