Global Environment Facility
Partners
Collaboration is a cornerstone of UrbanShift's work. We aim to transform cities through leveraging the networks and specialized expertise of our funding and partner organizations, implementing agencies, and the diverse members of our partnership engagement group.
FUNDER AND PARTNERS
UrbanShift is funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). Our global capacity-building initiative is managed in partnership with UNEP, the World Resources Institute (WRI), C40 Cities, and the ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability.
Implementing Agencies
The UN Environment Programme, the UN Development Programme, World Bank and Asian Development Bank lead the execution of UrbanShift's local projects in the nine countries of practice.
Partnership Engagement Group
The Partnership Engagement Group (PEG) includes key global actors, initiatives, alliances and networks in the urban development space. The purpose of the PEG is to provide inputs to UrbanShift about trends, thematic areas and approaches that can shape and strengthen the implementation of the program.
