Elsa is Programme Manager at the UN Environment Programme’s Cities unit, where she works to support sustainable urban development with practitioners and experts at the international, regional and local levels. She focuses on the development of UNEP’s work in integrated and sustainable neighborhood design and coordinates the advocacy component of UrbanShift, aiming to promote the importance of cities in the achievement of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) and to raise awareness of the program at the global and regional level.
Elsa previously worked at the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, a voluntary partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, businesses, scientific institutions and civil society organizations committed to protecting the climate and improving air quality through actions to reduce short-lived climate pollutants. She was leading the capacity-building program in support of the development of national strategies to reduce short-lived climate pollutants.
